Nancy Pelosi Knew About Sexual Harassment And Chose To Do NOTHING

Nancy Pelosi’s hand-wringing concern over the sexual abuse allegations plaguing her party might be an act. Disgraced Nevada Rep. Ruben Kihuen told ABC News that Pelosi knew of the rumors surrounding him and supported his campaign anyway. When the victim went public, Pelosi suddenly changed her tune.

“The young woman’s documented account is convincing, and I commend her for the courage it took to come forward. In light of these upsetting allegations, Congressman Kihuen should resign,” she said.

The victim told Buzzfeed News that she was driven off of Kihuen’s campaign because of his constant harassment. He allegedly rubbed her thighs and repeatedly propositioned her for sex despite her obvious discomfort.

If he’s guilty, Pelosi is right to demand his resignation. It’s interesting, however, that she wasn’t concerned about the allegations until they started being reported by the media.

“I do find it interesting that the DCCC, Leader Pelosi and Chairman Ben Ray Lujan — they knew about these allegations last year… They looked into them. They didn’t find anything, and they continued investing millions of dollars in my campaign. They went out there and campaigned for me,” Kihuen said.

Both parties are struggling to deal with explosive assault and harassment allegations, but the crisis seems to have hit the Democrats the hardest. Kihuen is the latest in a string of Washington Democrats to be implicated in a sexual scandal.

A spokesman for Pelosi, Drew Hammill, told reporters that Pelosi “first learned of these allegations from BuzzFeed last week.”

It’s a weak defense, but what else can he say?
